Only idiots go shopping on that day. That and people who want to get some good deals and save money, but at the same time lose sanity. It’s a win/lose situation.
I was one of those people that ventured out in search of something. But my something was not on sale.
The newest set of Star Wars cookie cutters! Dear god, I was beyond stoked. I had no clue they had a new set and was so thrilled about it, I ran out on black friday to get myself a set!
The following day (since yes, i survived Carousel Mall), I brought the cutters to work at the request of Justin (5 y/o) along with the fixin’s to make vegan sugar cookies.
Spencer and Sophia aided me in making the dough! Spencer lended a hand for the very first time! But needless to say, do NOT let a toddler control the speed of a Kitchen-Aid. Bad idea. “Megaaannn! Spency made a mess. Clean it up!” – Yes Sophia.
Both children got to roll, which made them feel really special (not sure why).
And into the oven with our creations!
We ended up with 40+ sugar cookies thanks to Miss Kelly Peloza (The Vegan Cookie Connoisseur) which is legitimately the best vegan sugar cookie recipe I have ever made.
The kids are always so ecstatic when they get to help in the kitchen! And mixing Star Wars into that equation? Needless to say, it was a good day.
